1965 CHEVY EL CAMINO
DRIVE IT HOME WHETHER IT'S 10 miles or 1,800 miles---It drives great--- Dark grey, new black vinyl interior, 350- V-8 w/4-speed Muncie ,new tires on 15" chrome ralleys w/flat caps, pwr. steering, excellent floor pans, rockers, fender liners and wheel well houses---drivers floor tub was cut out and replaced w/ original style tub, excellent bed from end to end and top to bottom---spray in liner coating on bed surface, no rust nor prior rust on/in or around the tailgate, all new glass, new bumpers front and rear, new bed top chrome, new or like new windshield/back glass trim, 3" tach, under the dash gauges include--amp, oil pressure and temperature gauges, excellent grille and headlight trim, original drum brake system w/new hard and soft lines, working wipers, turn signals and horn.
Completely new black vinyl bucket seat interior....door panels, headliner, carpet, seats...it's really nice.
This Elk looks like new at 10' back but the paint has spiderweb cracks (like crowsfooting on a lacquer paint job years ago) mainly on the bedsides and part of the tailgate. This looks to be a reaction between the primer/sealer/base coat clear coat paint years ago. Again from just a few feet back the vehicle paint looks and shines like brand new.
